i don't like to draw comparisons between bands, but passion pit reminds me a lot of everyones favorite new band, MGMT. really full sound, really electronic, pop oriented, and catchy as hell. these are all the tools for the summer sound we need to hear. i won't bore you with the dumb stupid details, and i'll put the original mp3s up for a couple days, but snag em while they're hot. this stuff is like snapple, the best stuff on earth.

MGMT is not anyone's new favorite band, and i don't know about them having a full sound. It may just be the possibility of the less than stellar audio quality on my copy of chunk of change it's awfully treble-y. the bass is there, but there could be more, and i feel like there is virtually no mid-range sound. it's a polarized sound.
ReplyDeletei mean i detected sarcasm with the MGMT comment, but no one ever says 'i love mgmt!'. no one.
